OVERVIEW:

This 1/2-day course is designed for individuals, supervisors, or managers. Through facilitated instruction, discussion, and exercises, this course will assist supervisors and other participants in conducting effective hazard assessments.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

        Identify the types of hazards and their controls

        Identify the legal requirements for supervisors to know the hazards and the controls.

        State the six steps involved in hazard assessment.

        State other hazard assessment tools such as field assessment and job hazard analysis.

        Identify methods for documenting assessments and whether controls are working.

 

REQUIREMENTS: A computer with stable internet access, audio/visual capabilities, and quiet learning space is required. You will receive an invite by email from the instructor 1-2 days before the course. A NSNY staff member will contact you to either arrange for pick up or to have the course materials emailed to you.
