OVERVIEW:
This 1/2-day course is designed for individuals, supervisors, or managers. Through facilitated instruction, discussion, and exercises, this course will assist supervisors and other participants in conducting effective hazard assessments.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
➢ Identify the types of hazards and their controls
➢ Identify the legal requirements for supervisors to know the hazards and the controls.
➢ State the six steps involved in hazard assessment.
➢ State other hazard assessment tools such as field assessment and job hazard analysis.
➢ Identify methods for documenting assessments and whether controls are working.
REQUIREMENTS: A computer with stable internet access, audio/visual capabilities, and quiet learning space is required. You will receive an invite by email from the instructor 1-2 days before the course. A NSNY staff member will contact you to either arrange for pick up or to have the course materials emailed to you.
